Huh, I guess I lost weight, or redistributed it, because my Norman Porter selvedge jeans finally fit again! These fancy jeans were made by a Philly company that sadly seems to have gone out of business before I could buy more in a slightly larger size. Immediately after I bought them I unexpectedly developed waist fat and couldn't button them up all the way.
I suddenly appreciate the pocket watch pocket a lot more than when I first bought them.

I was going to make myself something from 6 square metres of selvedge denim I happen to have, and decided it will be a sashiko quilt.
Here is the front panel (2 metres by 1.6 metres), with a design inspired by the view from our window (waves, sea, clouds, massive public sculpture...)
