Self care has been pretty horribly appropriated by capitalism.

We don't have to spend money to look after ourselves!

Self care doesn't always have to mean luxurious, expensive, or even treats.

Sometimes, self care is boring. Sometimes, it's doing the frustrating thing or the difficult thing.

Self care can mean having a quiet word with yourself, or a difficult conversation with someone.

Self care is not all pretty!
