Urgently looking for a room to rent for October 1st! Disabled trans couple with two cats trying to avoid becoming homeless (Updated)

Hey everyone! My partner @LukeOrion and I are a disabled neurodivergent trans couple urgently seeking a room to rent starting in October to avoid becoming homeless again. We have two cats as well (and can keep them confined to our room). Both medical 420 users. We’ll likely be keeping to ourselves a lot of the time. Aiming for $800 a month or less for cost. Any leads appreciated.

Preferred locations are Central to Northern Illinois Michigan, and Minnesota, but are open to relocating to almost any state where recreational weed is legal (so we can access our meds until one of us can get a medical card). We are NOT interested in MA, WA, OR, and CA for cost of living reasons (also bad experiences with MA and WA).
