We didn't want to eliminate the #wild #garlic completely (because it's part of #nature & is #edible too), simply drastically reduce it's numbers because it is VERY invasive because each stem drops four fertilised #seeds (or #bulbs?) and they grow very readily from them. In my mind there's a simple #beauty to their #flowers too.

I love the freely flowering #aubretia in our #garden. They've taken a couple of years to establish after I grew them from #seeds but now they're well & truly part of the garden. I'd like to think they'll self-seed & be permanent members of our borders. We have #pink, #mauve & #purple varieties

I had only 6 #watermelon #seeds left. Sowed them all into 2 pots. I'll be happy if any of them sprout & provide me with some small watermelons this Summer. I've successfully grown some melons here before but am still not too great at it. I keep trying to improve my melon growing here. I do better with cantaloupe.

28 pots of early Thai peppers.
10 pots of assorted cherry tomatoes.
15 pots of mixed heirloom tomatoes.
A large pot mixed with tulsi, larkspur & phacelia.

Mixed #CoverCrop #seeds. I use them as part of ongoing #SoilRemediation work. I'll sow these mixed seeds after removing lawn grass & working lime & compost soil into the earth, covering with more soil & a thin layer of leaf mulch. The alternative cover crop roots feed & naturally aerate the earth they grow out of. I then remove most of the cover crops & sow/transplant food & pollinator plants in same spot.
