You do the first color in one wax and then cut out the parts you want and press them into the seal. Then you press it into another layer of wax for multiple colors. Some people take this to a very high level. I learned from this video:
(I really enjoy the quiet style of 하든 Harden's videos. She is always exploring new types of wax and new ways to use seals.)
Things happened!!
(Nochmal: Es herrscht kein Bastelzwang.

TIL: using an hot air station (the soldering kind) to heat #sealingWax works just fine, is not messy, doesn't require a table mostly free of burnable material, and can also help fixing mishaps like not having left enough wax on the paper by reheating it.
using an open flame is still much better for the whole ritual of sealing #letters, however.
but it's nice knowing that I have the two options.
When Animation Assist came to Procreate I started making gifs. Some of them worked, most of them didn't, and wow did I learn a lot!!
This image was originally part of a hand series of family and friends, then made into a greeting card (which, lemme tell ya, sold like Aristotle's lost Book of Comedy...) Now I have five 6-card sets waiting for the right venue to come along to sell them... hehe...
