(I'd also kill for a #SeaOfLegends faction of Mama Dlo banding the island's creatures of folklore together for the first time, combining their magical brutality with the tools of piracy to keep the islands & its beauty for its people.
I have a lot of ideas, is what I'm saying!)
At first I was gonna say "the water-dwelling descendants of drowned African slaves à la 'The Deep'", but here's my first-choice #SeaOfLegends faction pitch:
