With the 2025-26 season officially in the rearview, the #SeaKraken look to build on the experience of a year that saw the team spend more than 100 days in playoff position → http://bit.ly/2526INREVIEW

Brandon Montour is the 2025-26 recipient of the Andy Eide Memorial Stick Taps Award, presented by the local #SeaKraken media to the player we deemed was best to work with this season.

"It stings. It wasn’t good enough. But there were positives. You have to look at it from a big picture situation ... It’s only going to get harder from here ... We’ve got to find a way over the hump.”

🗣️ Hear from #SeaKraken Head Coach Lane Lambert during team exit interviews.

“We have an awesome culture here and so many awesome guys ... We’re disappointed we couldn’t make it happen and get this team into playoffs, but we love coming into this room every single day.”

🗣️ Hear from #SeaKraken goalie Joey Daccord during team exit interviews.

“I think we did a pretty good job putting ourselves in the situation we were before the break. I think after that, individually and as a team, we struggled to find our game again.”

🗣️ Hear from #SeaKraken forward Eeli Tolvanen during team exit interviews.

“Just feeling like my style of game was wanted, that was very clear in talking with Jason [Botterill] and Lane [Lambert] ... I felt like I fit a piece on this team that they were maybe missing."

🗣️ Hear from #SeaKraken forward Bobby McMann during team exit interviews.

.@sound_hockey brought up to Joey Daccord that Nikke Kokko said he wanted to score an empty netter before him..."That was crazy...if it had happened I would have been so rattled." Got a good laugh...Joey went on to praise both Kokko and Ostman who came in these last few games and said he was so excited for them to get the games they did in the NHL #Seakraken

Grubi took some interesting (implied) pot shots at Dan Bylsma, saying the coaching this year was the biggest reason for his improvement. When asked about changes to his game:

“Not anything crazy, I think maybe, I was not as aggressive anymore because, like last year, what system did we play, if there was a system, right?”

Said it was a “night and day” difference playing behind Lambert’s defense. #SeaKraken

"I have my goals for next year and I think being trusted is another one. That comes through time … Seeing what the best players in the world do and trying to replicate that back home will be big for me.”

🗣️ Hear from #SeaKraken forward Berkly Catton during team exit interviews.

Lane Lambert had some interesting things to say about Shane Wright. “Everybody's going to look at Shane Wright’s season and go, ‘Oh, gee, he had this many points, and he had that many points last year.’ Ask Shane if he felt like he's a better player now than he was at the beginning of the year. And the answer would be yes, he does.” #SeaKraken
