I mentioned this one in my Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo write-up already but it's too good not to repeat.

When they were first creating the character of Scrappy-Doo they had several voice actors try out for the part, including some that were already in the cast of Scooby-Doo. One of the auditioned actors was Frank Welker, who had been Fred since the start of the franchise and has since taken over the role of Scooby himself. He didn't end up getting the role of Scrappy, but during his audition he improvised the catchphrase "Ta-da-da-ta ta-ta! Puppy power!" The studio, Hanna-Barbera, already had a good track record with improvised catchphrases, as Fred Flinstone's "Yabba-dabba-doo" had a similar origin story, so they kept the catchphrase even though they ended up giving Lennie Weinrib the role of Scrappy.

It's a very minor addition to the story but I also loved learning of Frank Welker's role in Saturday Supercade, a cartoon adaptation of various video games. In that show he played Donkey Kong Junior, whose catchphrase "Monkey muscle!" is said in exactly the same way as "Puppy power!", so he's ended up ripping off a catchphrase that he came up with in the first place!
