This weekend I’m attending the Outdoor Conference again. It’s an outdoors training event run by Scouts Scotland.
I’m doing a purely Bushcraft Skills course this time. The aim of the course I’m signed up to is to learn new & develop my own skills and also how to teach them to Young People.

This morning I set off on my charity Kiltwalk to fundraise for Scouts Scotland’s Clan Challenge.
I managed to complete the approximate 20 miles from St Andrews to Dundee in around 6 hours 20 minutes.
I was well puggled, it was hot. 🥵
Thank you to those who contributed. I’ve done much better than I was expecting, especially as I started late.

Got an envelope from Scottish Scouts HQ yesterday. I was expecting it.
As you can see, it contained a #BlanketBadge & a quick drying T-shirt (the larger wording design is the back).
They are both new introductions this year, so not many have earned them, which you do by raising money for #ScoutsScotland, specifically their #ClanChallenge campaign.
I was originally intending to wear my uniform shirt for my charity #Kiltwalk for them this weekend, but I’m proud to wear this instead.

I’ve never done a Charity Walk like this, but it felt like a good preparation for what's to come in a couple week’s time.
I think I did around 75% of the distance of the Event. I will check tomorrow. I tried to fill my backpack with items I plan to take on the big day, and take suitable food and drink. I have adjustments to make but it worked well.
I didn’t wear my kilt or Scout Uniform Shirt today though.

As I have accumulated a collection of Scouting Scarves/Neckers/Neckies (select your preference) & I am no longer raising money for my own Scout Group during my upcoming Charity Walk, it occurred to me just now I should use it was an opportunity to wear one of them.
It could also be a hot day so an alternative to the wool of my Group Necker seems appealing.
Tough choice ahead. ⚜️
