Following on from my last photo of the big, chunky wheatear, this is the same piece of clay after much painstaking & gentle, stretching & pulling. We now have teeny wheatears appearing when I slice through the middle of the cane. I'd say it was a tricky process, but that would be an understatement! Lots of crossed fingers.
If you're struggling with a mental image of how it's done, imagine those old videos of how a stick of rock is made.
For this weekend's photo I thought I would share a running Red Squirrel. They are always such a joy to watch.
For this weekend, I thought I would share a running Pine Marten. Such an agile and intelligent animal. Always great to watch.

You may have noticed I haven't been around much on social media this year. Sometimes life requires your attention elsewhere and photography has to take a back seat. I am now returning back to regular photography and enjoying the scenery and wildlife again. So here I am saying hello again....

It's that time of year when male bumblebees start to appear. You can often tell if a bumblebee in Scotland is male because they have a bright yellow moustache like the one you can see on male red-tailed bumblebee I photographed in Glasgow.
