Here's a question I hope fedi can answer for me. I'm trying to remember the author and title of a novel but I cannot figure it out. I can describe it, though. Maybe sometime here will recognize it?
It is a Scottish novel about a group of people working for a fence company. It was written before 2006. The paperback I read was about a third of and inch thick, probably <=300 pages. The cover had a photo of dune lego-like toy people posed as if they were working on a fence. It's extremely funny with very dry humor.
The main characters keep killing random people accidentally and burying the bodies at their various fencing jobs. At one point one asks another if they buried the latest body under the gatepost and gets the reply "of course."
