Onto Walker’s shortbread fingers, and both not enamoured, finding a rather overwhelmingly buttery after taste. Both on grapes to refresh! I will score this finally on the second go - not tomorrow, when a giant fudge doughnut cake steps in for a few days - but think it will be low. #shortbread #ScottishShortbread #Scotland #ScottishFood #ScottishCuisine #Food #Foodstodon #SweetTreats #Walkers #TasteTest #FudgeDoughnut #FisherAndDonaldson
Update on the shortbread taste test. We’ve now demolished the Sainsbury’s Highland Shortbread pack. Both felt it was a bit dry. Martin found it a bit chunky. I liked that! Not too sweet. Overall score from me 3.5/5, but I expected better based on past memories. #shortbread #ScottishShortbread #Scotland #ScottishFood #ScottishCuisine #Food #Foodstodon #SweetTreats #Sainsburys #TasteTest
A few years on since last time, and we’re embarking on another shortbread taste test. Bought 3 different lots from the supermarket. First up Sainsburys Highland shortbread. Which I remember really liking. Though it’s maybe a bit on the crisp side. We will finish this packet another day, before moving onto the next candidate. #shortbread #ScottishShortbread #Scotland #ScottishFood #ScottishCuisine #Food #Foodstodon #SweetTreats #Sainsburys #TasteTest

It’s a special weekend in our house, and we’re starting early. Here is the first of 3 suppers devouring a giant Fisher & Donaldson fudge doughnut (1/6 each at a time). For scale the coffee mug in the picture is a really huge mug itself … #cakes #baking #SweetTreats #Cupar #StAndrews #Fife #Scotland #ScottishFood #ScottishCuisine
