An #eggcorn spotted in the wild.

Websters has this article that explains the phrase โ€œby and largeโ€ so you can avoid its misuse. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/by%20and%20large

"What's the most common element in the human body?"

I saw this question, took a guess, then searched the web. Only thing is, the first answer I found answered the question by listing elements by weight.

To me, the word "common" implies frequency and not any other measure, such as weight or volume.

For example, if someone asked, "what is the most common eye color amongst this group of people?", would you expect you'd do anything other than counting?

First, cheers to the movie Max Headroom for the #neologism "blipvert".

Second, jeers to English speakers everywhere for not keeping that word in use enough for anyone younger than 50 to know what I'm talking about when I say "blipvert".

ObRandomScottFact: I love saying the word portmanteau.

OK, I now return you to your boring world that is mostly absent of ADHD-driven non sequitors.

@bruces "Please don't jam my wave band" is going to be my new go-to phrase when someone is annoying me.
