The fact that these charges were raised in the first place is another example of a country in social and political decline. Scapegoating a lowly paid and ill-equipped school resource officer and expecting him to have self-sacrificed instead of tackling the root causes. And all merely to continue ignoring the truth and keeping an utterly mindless gun culture alive.
