@felwert @pkp @subugoe @dbeucke Lovely question! We use web based framework from #SciFlow publish https://sciflow.net/de/sciflow-publish. We have journal specific templates & convert author files (docx, doc, etc) into source files that we edit in SciFlow environment. Then we derive various formats (HTML, pdf etc) from thw source files. We‘ve done free style poems, the arabic stuff and other upper magic stuff. Plus Carsten and his team are real open access supporters and super helpful. 😎

@DrSuzanne Journals can partner with #SciFlow in order to get their templates into the system. Authors type simply in markdown, can connect their #Zotero library and focus purely on #AcademicWriting.

Institutions on the other hand, may subscribe to SciFlow to get their employees access to the service. Fin. Works like a charm (in theory).

Sadly, I have not yet published anything in a journal whose template is available at SciFlow.

@laborjournal Die Trennung von Inhalt und Form bei der Nutzung von #TeXLaTeX als Textsatzsystem zur Dokumenterstellung hilft bei dieser Herausforderung zumindest schon mal ein bisschen.
Auch Systeme wie #SciFlow sind nützlich, weil man den gleichen Dokumentinhalt in verschiedene Vorlagen ausgeben kann.
WYSIWYG-Systeme wie Microsoft Word oder Libre Office sind natürlich bedingt hilfreich.

In search of research & writing workflow that works for me & supervisors needs.

👉 So far, using #zotero for references cause it best integrates with other tools. For note-taking I use zotero notes and mostly @obsidianmd.

For writing up I use #sciflow enabling me to write on any device, but my supervisors want a .docx not a .pdf 🙈

Tried @pandoc but still too much formatting after changing the pdf to word. Advice? Any wysiwyg pandoc template builder?
