Thank you! When I saw your earlier post, I looked around for the Brahms piece and I too stumbled upon this very video, a real find. A truly congenial performance of Brahms's Schicksalslied piece, the final part pulsing with pain, and without the false gravitas of many others.

(The performance was in September 2020, the first covid year. We can see how members of orchestra and choir are kept at distance from each other.)

Stefan Plank's Kingdom of Mental Illness is an attempt to express the unspeakable and the deep, contrary social trivialization and emotional distance. It deals with a topic, that is by no means happy and if not sad, then at least restrained. And if it seems that nothing is being said here, it's because there is nothing to be said.
