Above the clouds and beyond the lake lies Monte Baldo, towering over the enchanting town of Malcesine on the shores of Lake Garda. 🌿🏞️✨

A panoramic cable car ride whisks you from medieval cobbled streets to alpine meadows in just minutes. From the top, breathtaking views stretch across the lake and into the distant Dolomites, a true meeting of earth, sky, and water.

Malcesine itself is a fairytale village with narrow alleys, vibrant flowers, and the majestic Scaliger Castle, once a lookout for pirates and poets alike. Whether you hike the ridgelines of Monte Baldo or stroll the lakeside promenade below, this corner of Italy is pure magic.

Kind of a weird experience to be making this photo in Lazise whilst there is this nearby bar playing disco classics all day long. 🤣 That bar does have quite nice (albeit somewhat overpriced) iced teas though.

As the sun slips behind the mountains and fishing boats gently bob in the harbour, the timeless charm of Lazise unfolds. Nestled on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, this lakeside village blends medieval heritage with a tranquil, romantic spirit.

Once a fortified town under the rule of the Scaliger family, Lazise still proudly displays its 13th-century castle walls and gates. Lose yourself in the old town’s cobbled alleys, enjoy gelato by the promenade, or watch the world drift by from the quaint port, where the air smells of pine and lake breeze. 🌲🌊

To all of you other photographers out there; how do you respond when somebody asks you to take a photo of them during nighttime (especially knowing this never happens to you during daytime, when light conditions obviously are a lot better)?

It happened to me on this particular evening at the lighthouse of Desenzano del Garda when a guy asked me if I wanted to take his photo, I politely declined like I usually do as I simply have no interest in photographing people (let alone in the evening with a not overly great in camera flash), and he did not take that very well. Luckily he just walked away, but I was relieved things didn't turn ugly.
