Yesterday, @jrenken came into my office and asked me about when I typically refill our Britta water pitcher. He also reminded me that I said that I'd want to make sure I could refill my 20 oz. water bottle every time I ran out without having to wait for the pitcher to finish filtering. Turns out we had different notions of what that meant. 1/
Never have I been so grateful for my husband’s love language being “fixing things” as when he coaxed the furnace back to life after it decided to take a long winter nap during this 17 degree cold snap.
He fixes (and mechanically and electronically improves) things for a living, so it’s rare to see him triumphant over a repair. Usually it’s just another day at the office, bringing machines pronounced dead back to life. The novelty of our elderly furnace sparked joy.
My husband interrupted our movie watching twice tonight to hand me his phone with reels of Belgian Malinois being Belgian Malinois
and I played it cool and reminded him that we get to have a dog or a race team but not both
and I do love racing
