Overall:

It's challenging, it's rewarding, it's refreshing, it fixes all the problems I've had with the RPG genre as of late, and I want more of whatever these developers make next.

For me, an old school RPG enjoyer, this is actually game of the year and I say that with no sense of irony or exaggeration.

#Scarmonde #GOTY

I'm going to go over a bit of what makes #Scarmonde great, and how it improves on old school RPGs. This may be a few posts.

Pacing:

No cut scenes to slow your pacing. As long as you proceed to get the mulligans the story alludes to itself in its environments, monsters and puzzles, and NPC dialogue is rewarding - like, actually understandable and helpful, while also never advising to "press the _ button."

I'm having a f***ing blast with #Scarmonde.
