"Yes to renewable energy, but not in my backyard." 🤷♀️ We don't have any wind turbines in our immediate vicinity, so I can't personally judge whether they truly lower quality of life, as some critics claim. But perhaps it's all a moot point anyway, because come September, when the fascists seize power here, we might find ourselves back in the good old days of smog. 🥲 Why do people make such short-sighted choices!

You might remember that last year, a deranged man drove into the market, killing six people and injuring hundreds. This year, security has been significantly increased, with #police and private security patrolling everywhere. The #market, slightly smaller than usual, has been turned into something of a fortress, completely surrounded by barricades. A friend who works for the police said there's currently no safer place in Saxony-Anhalt than this #Christmas market. However, they also mentioned that maintaining this level of security isn't sustainable – they simply don't have the manpower or the funding. Still, it's likely their way of helping #people feel safe again. 👀
