Iran, Pahlavi: "Enough negotiating with terrorists, a free country will bring economic opportunities"

(Adnkronos) - “We must stop a regime that threatens maritime traffic and we must show courage. This regime will not change. No more blackmail, no more taking hostages, no more negotiating with terrorists. Imagine that a liberated Iran would immediately commit to restoring regional stability, to cooperating with its neighboring countries, with Israelis, and with Saudis. You would no longer have to carry out police activities in the Middle East because at that point the doors would also open to economic opportunities and prosperity. Something that would then lead to a more stable world.” – This was stated by Prince Reza Ciro Pahlavi, the son of the Shah deposed by the 1979 revolution, during a meeting yesterday organized at the American Studies Center in Rome, on the occasion of his visit to Italy.

The #War in #Iran could be why #pif & the #Saudis are considering cutting back/off funding of sportswashing Isn't it ironic that trump would be the cause for the downfall of #LIV #ShootingYourselfInTheFoot

‘Only long-term solution for Hormuz crisis is rerouting pipes'

“Netanyahu’s 2017 proposal was a 700km-pipeline route from the Saudi port of Yanbu thru Jordan to Eilat, then thru the Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline to the Mediterranean, bypassing #Hormuz entirely.

The usage fees — millions of dollars annually — would flow to #Israel, while oil would flow to Europe.

#Trump loved the idea, but the #Saudis had responded coldly.”

Netanyahu: 'Only long-term solution for Hormuz crisis is rerouting pipes to Mediterranean'

"Long-term solutions include rerouting energy pipelines westward, across Saudi Arabia to the Red Sea and Mediterranean, bypassing Iran's geographic choke point," Netanyahu told Newsmax.

The ayatollahs of others

Anyone who believes that America, with people emerging from the Epstein files, is waging war for women’s rights in Iran is an idiot. This does not detract from the fact that women should be helped in Iran, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia.

Dear reader, I agree with your appeal, provided that cultures and traditions of peoples are respected, without imposing forcedness in the name of abstract Western values. However, mixing Taliban, Saudis, and Iranians only creates confusion. In Afghanistan, the situation is bleak: there, girls are prevented from going to school and learning to write. Another thing is Iran: the country most defamed by the West has the highest percentage worldwide of women graduating in scientific subjects. Women leave the house on their own, drive cars or motorcycles, and it is not true that the Islamic veil (very different from burqa and chador) is mandatory: the law, abolished in 2022 and reintroduced in 2023, is no longer enforced at the discretion of President Pezeshkian. As for the “moral police,” it has no power to arrest and torture, as is claimed. Its task is to guide and safeguard “public morality,” a vague concept, similar to that of the Italian Constitution, Article 21, which prohibits “all manifestations contrary to good morals.” But wherever good morals vary with the changing of times. For example, in 1950, Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, later elected to the Quirinal, slapped a woman because in a hot July day at a restaurant, she had removed her jacket, leaving her upper body bare. In the end, each of us draws the red line beyond which “one cannot go.” We are all the ayatollahs of someone else.
