AGI - L' oro si aggira intorno ai 4.500 dollari l'oncia (4.538 dollari, in rialzo dello 0,9%), rimanendo volatile mentre il conflitto in Medio Oriente entra nella sua quinta settimana senza una chiara soluzione in vista. Le ostilità nella regione si sono intensificate con l'ingresso nel conflitto dei militanti Houthi, sostenuti dall'Iran, che nel fine settimana hanno preso di mira Israele.
Il gruppo militante ha anche la capacità di lanciare attacchi contro navi in transito nel Mar Rosso e contro infrastrutture energetiche chiave dell'Arabia Saudita. Nel frattempo, secondo quanto riportato, l'esercito statunitense si starebbe preparando per settimane di operazioni di terra in Iran, dopo l'arrivo di ulteriori truppe nella regione.
L'oro rimane in calo di oltre il 15% rispetto al picco storico del 2 marzo quando le quotazioni hanno superato i 5.420 dollari l'oncia, poiché lo shock del prezzo del petrolio ha alimentato i timori di inflazione e rafforzato le aspettative di aumenti dei tassi di interesse da parte delle principali banche centrali.
