Now a company called Hubble Network has demonstrated Bluetooth connectivity 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 using space-based phased-array receivers. And they’re building and launching the constellation.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has issued its first-ever fine related to space debris prevention, requiring Dish Network to pay $150,000. The fine was imposed because Dish failed to properly deorbit a broadcast satellite, EchoStar-7, last year. The satellite was supposed to be moved to a disposal orbit but ended up at an orbit well below what was required by its license, potentially posing a space debris concern. While the fine is directed at Dish Network, the FCC's action signals that it is ready to enforce regulations on other satellite constellations as well, such as Starlink.
