You realize this is how it's going to play out, right?
Just like Australia here cases will continue to go unreported (as there is no testing), but - as covid is nowhere near being over - deaths will continue to increase and nothing. will. be. done.
Also 'other' diseases, caused by covid, like heart conditions, stroke and cancer will continue to go up, but. nothing. will. be. done.
Most won't even understand it.

Not sure what the takeaway from this is, as they start by saying 50% of Canadians experience long covid symtoms, but then they start talking about special clinics devoted to it (as if that would help - also, when is it really a 'special' clinic if HALF the population, so far, need it?).
Well, anyhoo - HALF of Canadians now fkd up (as most have probably been infected at least once by now). 👍

So effectively minimal to non-existent protection against infection. I fear we have reached the limits with vaccination with this generation of vaccines.
It's effectively #SARS3. Hopefully if we start with XBB1.5 we may have better results, but with the speed at which these variants are being generated, due to uncontrolled transmission, we have no chance of catching up.
There's also imprinting/OAS which might neuter new vaccines.
