CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – A 23-count superseding indictment was filed today in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, charging George Anthony Devolder Santos, better known as “George Santos,” the United States Representative for the Third District of New York, with one count of conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States, two counts of wire fraud, two counts of making materially false statements to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), two counts of falsifying records submitted to obstruct the FEC, two counts of aggravated identity theft, and one count of access device fraud.

So yesterday turned out to be a more eventful day than I had expected. First there was the quick verdict in the lawsuit brought by E, Jean Carroll against Donald Trump. After all was said and done, I believe Carroll received true justice. If one followed the trial closely, the trial served as a lesson on sexual harassment, sexual assault, and sexual abuse. The biggest lesson of all though, is that actions and words have consequences.

As I had made it my mission in life beginning in 2015 to become part of the resistance to Trump, I thought that was a pretty good day to see him finally held accountable, when the story broke that George Santos had been indicted for fraud. There is still a way to go until he is dealt with, but all in all, it was a very good day for those who pursue justice.
