Santa Fe High School shooter recommitted to state hospital for mental health treatment as capital murder trial remains on hold

Dimitrios Pagourtzis, charged with capital murder of multiple persons and aggravated assault of a public servant for his role in the 2018 shooting that killed 10 and left 13 others injured, has been confined to North Texas State Hospital in Vernon since 2019. It's possible that doctors from the facility could be called to testify in court about Pagourtzis' treatment and progress, according to his defense attorney.
