Ecco perché Carone ha scritto una lettera aperta al settimanale DiPiù che suona come un appello all’ex compagno di squadra, che nel frattempo è diventato il nuovo conduttore e direttore artistico del Festival di Sanremo 2027.
“In questi giorni si parla moltissimo di te e io ho solo una cosa da dirti: – inizia così la missiva – sono davvero orgoglioso di te. Così ho deciso di scriverti. Le vite cambiano, eppure abbiamo continuato a sentirci ogni tanto: un messaggio, un saluto, una risata, un ricordo. Ogni volta che ci sentiamo finiamo sempre per dirci la stessa frase: ‘vediamoci a Roma’. E puntualmente non lo facciamo mai”.
E infine un ricordo: “Quando ho sentito che il prossimo Sanremo lo condurrai tu, non ho potuto fare a meno di pensare a quel ragazzo che ballava accanto a me”. Chissà se De Martino risponderà…
