Iโm thinking about prejudices.
My grandfather told my mother that he didnโt like Koreans.
To explain my grandfather was born in Poland but as a baby his parents moved to Harbin in China and he lived there until he left to Australia on a ship because he knew the Japanese were coming. So 31 years he lived in China.
Harbin is near Korea and at that time Korea is nothing like Korea today. My grandfather didnโt like them. I donโt know much more than that. He died years ago.
I was reading about #sandraoh. I have met many South Koreans, but only in the last 20 years.
We have binged on Korean movies/shows on #Netflix. Their #scifi is inspiring.
Iโm fascinated with their food.
Maybe they were always like this or maybe time and the change in government has opened the minds of their young.
Like me,though, they would have had grandparents who would have told them something like my grandfather.
That was then, this is now.
#paulinehanson, #trump, #brexit etc and all these others are trying to invoke us and retrograde us. To pull us back to being ignorant and uncreative, to push us towards the *deadly sins. People should fight that, for their children.
* iโm atheist but this describes what people are doing
