Published the third essay in the Night’s King series: from Sandkings to Nightqueens. https://sweeticeandfiresunray.com/2022/10/15/from-sandkings-to-nightqueens/ First a summary on George’s novella Sandkings, then I link the concept of feeding Sandkings’ maws to Craster’s offerings of his baby sons to the Others (and why we don’t have ice sheep or wighted dogs in #asoaif ). I propose 4-5 potential maws on Planetos, that they are sorceress spider “goddesses” and that only two of these are in play.

It isn't Welcome To England as I was hoping but rather two Anthology records covering 87-89 and 90-91. I am giving those a listen on my commute tomorrow! Sandkings were underrated also-rans of the pre-britpop era, from Birmingham, supported Stone Roses & Jas "Babylon Zoo" Mann was their frontman (his desire to change direction caused their split). #music
