Sometime last year I made a note on my calendar for May to try and get a Sanderling in breeding plumage before it heads north. A couple of days ago the beach was absolutely beautiful at sunset with a clear blue sky and a few puffy clouds here and there. I was happy to find quite a few Sanderlings feeding in the beautiful light and got a few nice shots.
