Galaxy Z Fold/Flip8, Wide Fold series unveil date leaks!

Last year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold7 and the Z Flip7 foldable phones, which provide an improved experience with One UI 8.0 and its new features. Alongside these two foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE has been released as a cheaper version of the Galaxy Z Flip7 foldable, which provides a similar experience.

Leaks about the upcoming foldables have been appearing over the internet, and the renders of those foldables have appeared, which you can find over the internet. Recently, a Korean media report, courtesy of wowtv.co.kr, has stated in an exclusive news report that Samsung is going to unveil the upcoming foldable series in the second Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on July 22nd, 2026.

Samsung is expected to unveil three models of the upcoming foldable series, which will be:

  • Galaxy Z Fold8
  • Galaxy Z Flip8
  • Galaxy Z Wide Fold

The second Galaxy Unpacked event will be held not in the USA, but in London, United Kingdom, which represents a strategic shift, as London is considered to be a key hub where Samsung directs its business operations across the whole Europe.

Samsung is also planning to bring back the S Pen sequentially after unveiling the Wide Fold this year. Galaxy Z Fold7 did not have S Pen support due to the thickness of the phone, but the Galaxy Z Fold8 will bring back the S Pen support.

The addition of the Wide Fold will rival Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
