Samsung Galaxy Buds4 pricing leaks ahead of release

A stream of leaks about the Galaxy Buds4 didn’t end, because we’re now seeing more information about the upcoming earbuds. This time, it’s about pricing of the earbuds in Europe.

Due to how the component prices soared starting December 2025 due to DRAM shortages, Samsung was considering raising prices in some devices. According to a recent report by Dealabs in France, European pricing for the Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro has been revealed.

  • Galaxy Buds4 will be priced at €179 upon launch
  • Galaxy Buds4 Pro will be priced at €249 upon launch

That’s good news, because Samsung won’t raise prices of the upcoming earbuds, despite the crisis that started on December 2025.

When Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro devices were launched, they were priced at €179 and €249, respectively. This means that there is no change in launch pricing of the devices.

Are you ready for the Galaxy Buds4?

Galaxy Buds app update contains more Buds4 official images

Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Buds4 to be released this year to replace the Galaxy Buds3. Today, the company has pushed the Galaxy Buds app update for One UI 8 devices, and it’s under version 8.5.10.900. This update is available for devices running One UI 8 and for Galaxy S25 devices running One UI 8.5 Beta. This is a major version hop from 8.0 to 8.5, indicating readiness for One UI 8.5.

We have dissected the APK file as we are looking for Galaxy Buds4 related files, and we have found several files that point to the upcoming Galaxy Buds4 series, as well as codenames Bach for the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Handel for the normal Galaxy Buds4 variant. There are too many drawables for the Galaxy Buds4, as well as some of the related files.

Tips for two devices

First of all, we have pictures of tips for the Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro for various features, including 360 audio recording and adaptive noise control. This showcases a feature for the upcoming Galaxy Buds4 device. Here are the pictures of the tips for different features that are similar (Galaxy Buds4 Pro at the left, and Galaxy Buds4 at the right):

For reference, here are the raw files (light mode) of the tips and their file names:

Features for Buds4 Pro

Additionally, there are some of the features that were designed for the Galaxy Buds4 Pro, such as customizing your listening experience for different apps, finding your phone using the earbuds case, and starting the Interpreter.

For reference, here are the raw files (light mode) of the tips and their file names:

Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro renders

The Galaxy Buds app seems to have revealed possible color combinations for the Buds4 Pro (White, Black, and Apricot) and the Buds4 (White and Black) and in their high quality, which matches earlier leaks that we’ve seen.

For reference, here are the raw files (light mode) of the tips and their file names:

Misc

We have seen some additional references to the Galaxy Buds4, including the battery capacity and some of the strings related to the upcoming device. A look at integers.xml file reveals something rather interesting about the Buds4 battery life in both the base and the Pro variants.

<integer name="buds4_battery_rated_capacity">42</integer> <integer name="buds4_battery_typical_capacity">45</integer> <integer name="buds4pro_battery_rated_capacity">57</integer> <integer name="buds4pro_battery_typical_capacity">61</integer>

This tells us two things:

  • Galaxy Buds4’s battery rated capacity is 42 mAh, while the typical capacity is 45 mAh, in comparison with the Galaxy Buds3 that has 48 mAh.
  • Galaxy Buds4 Pro’s battery rated capacity is 57 mAh, while the typical capacity is 61 mAh, in comparison with the Galaxy Buds3 Pro that has 53 mAh.

Additionally, we have seen lots of references to the Galaxy Buds4 (base) in public.xml file:

Release date

Currently, there is no clear release date, but if rumors surrounding the reveal date of the upcoming earbuds on February 25 are true, we should expect the reveal of the upcoming earbuds alongside the Galaxy S26 series unveiling.

Galaxy Wearable 2.2.68.26010761 update contains Galaxy Buds4 icons

While leakers like Evan Blass leak information about the Galaxy Buds4 as it becomes closer to the official release, along with the FCC database approving the Galaxy Buds4’s existence, Samsung have pushed the Galaxy Wearable update, which is version 2.2.68.26010761, to provide improvements and bug fixes.

Digging deep into the Galaxy Wearable APK file, we have found evidence of the icons of the upcoming Galaxy Buds device, which is Galaxy Buds4, as per the two file names: scanning_list_buds4.webp (drawable and drawable-night-xxhdpi) and ic_buds4.webp (drawable). Those files have relationship with the Galaxy Buds4, and they match the leaked designs of the Galaxy Buds4, which appeared before the Galaxy Wearable update.

In the XML files, we’ve seen references to those same drawables from the public.xml file, but we’ve not seen strings that refer to the Galaxy Buds4.

values/public.xml:3215: <public type="drawable" name="ic_buds4" id="0x7f070077" /> values/public.xml:3309: <public type="drawable" name="scanning_list_buds4" id="0x7f070100" />

Here are the raw files for the Buds4 icons:

The Galaxy Wearable update also seems to have improved compatibility with One UI 8.5, as we’ve seen references to One UI 8.5, which is still in the Beta phase as of now for the Galaxy S25, as confirmed by the XML files themselves:

xml/runtime_manifest_overlay.xml:5: <policy android:icon="@mipmap/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable" android:enabled="true" android:priority="1" minValue="80500" type="ONEUI" /> mipmap-anydpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable.xml:4: <background android:drawable="@drawable/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_background" /> mipmap-anydpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable.xml:5: <foreground android:drawable="@drawable/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_foreground" /> mipmap-anydpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable.xml:6: <monochrome android:drawable="@drawable/oneui_8_5_theme_ic_galaxy_wearable" /> values/public.xml:3300: <public type="drawable" name="oneui_8_5_shorcut_ic_galaxy_wearable_foreground" id="0x7f0700f5" /> values/public.xml:3638: <public type="drawable" name="oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_background" id="0x7f0700f3" /> values/public.xml:3639: <public type="drawable" name="oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_foreground" id="0x7f0700f4" /> values/public.xml:3640: <public type="drawable" name="oneui_8_5_theme_ic_galaxy_wearable" id="0x7f0700f7" /> values/public.xml:4777: <public type="mipmap" name="oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable" id="0x7f0e0003" />

Those XML files refer to the drawables and mipmaps, which are found in:

./drawable/oneui_8_5_shorcut_ic_galaxy_wearable_foreground.xml ./drawable-mdpi/oneui_8_5_theme_ic_galaxy_wearable.png ./drawable-mdpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_foreground.png ./drawable-mdpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_background.png ./drawable-xhdpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_foreground.png ./drawable-xhdpi/oneui_8_5_theme_ic_galaxy_wearable.png ./drawable-xhdpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_background.png ./drawable-xxhdpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_foreground.png ./drawable-xxhdpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable_background.png ./drawable-xxhdpi/oneui_8_5_theme_ic_galaxy_wearable.png ./mipmap-anydpi/oneui_8_5_ic_galaxy_wearable.xml

Below is the preview of those files:

It’s expected that the Galaxy Buds4 is going to be supported with the latest Galaxy Wearable update, and the upcoming device will be revealed this year, to be a successor to the current Galaxy Buds3 series, which will be replaced soon.

Here are the raw files for the drawables for the One UI 8.5 theme support:

To update Galaxy Wearable, you can update it either from the Galaxy Wearable app itself (Menu > Settings > About > Update) or from the Galaxy Store (Menu > Updates).

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro nieoficjalnie: nowy design i przełomowe sterowanie głową. Słuchawki same znajdą Twój telefon

Podobno dzięki gestom będziemy mogli sterować smartfonem i asystentami AI, używając jedynie ruchów głowy. O jakich gestach informuje nieoficjalny przeciek?

Redesign i porządek

Wizualnie słuchawki również mają przejść lifting. Zamiast dotychczasowej, trójkątnej estetyki pałąków, pojawi się spłaszczona, bardziej kompaktowa konstrukcja z metalicznym wykończeniem. Znikną też charakterystyczne paski LED, zwane „Blade Lights”.

Zmienione zostanie również etui, w którym słuchawki będą teraz leżały poziomo zamiast stać pionowo.
