Sport Ireland have created a Women in Sport Week schools’ engagement activity, designed to increase awareness, visibility, and normalisation of women in sport among young people.
Aligning with ‘Same Energy' the toolkits encourage students to reflect on how women and girls show the same commitment in sport and why they deserve the same attention, belief, and respect.

Sport Ireland Women in Sport Week 2026 supported by National Governing Bodies of Sport, Local Sports Partnerships, and other funded bodies takes place from March 2-8th, 2026.
The theme for Women in Sport Week 2026 is “Same Energy”. Same Energy challenges us to ask whether we’re bringing the same energy, excitement, commitment and visibility to women’s sport as we do to in men’s sport.
