Yes, and Vimes admits it himself. It is why he sends his younger self away in #Nightwatch. He admits the excuse of "because it is me doing it" is a weak one. He admits that part of what he is doing looks and feels like it is torture even if he thinks it isn't. Spoiler: He's wrong. Threatening torture, and implying torture, are still classed as a form of torture.

I treated myself to a new pair of slipper boots today. They're dark red and fluffy and soft and soooooooooo cosy. I can't remember when I bought my previous pair, but I think it was before COVID and they've been falling apart!
