Sam Robson... has an amazing voice, a fabulous musicality and ability to arrange and compose... but... he's not much of a lyricist. Now, I could just limit myself to buying his covers and hymnals, but... his musicality really shines in his original work. It's just that his lyrics sound like someone regurgitating a therapy session.
What I'd really love to see is the kind of thing which Loreena McKennit has done from time to time, and that's take a classic poem and turn it into a song. (Loreena McKennit's version of "The Highwayman" is so good. And "The Lady of Shalot", oh yes.)
