The dubious militarization of selected leaders of high #technology, people who are already accustomed to calling themselves "officers" and who frequently complain of "insubordination" (i.e. free decision-making circumventing the formal chain of command) as if they were in the #SalvationArmy or #Scientology (two cults which I daresay popularized and normalized to my the idea of setting oneself up as a faux military hierarchy) and the appointment of political officers from among the heads of technology corporations is only the most flagrant example of how tech culture has sold itself, with immoderate enthusiasm and an ever-growing hunger for government subsidy, to militaries and police forces. The current techbro culture very much believes in The War.
What War, I ask again?
