Rome: The festival of the patron saint, Saint Mary Liberator, returns to the Testaccio neighborhood.

(Adnkronos) - The Testaccio neighborhood festival returns from May 29th to 31st. The three-day celebration of the patron saint Santa Maria Liberatrice’s festival will begin Friday evening with greetings from the authorities and followed by a concert by the ‘Walkmen Band’, with the participation of artists such as Stefano Bullian, Roberta Marini, Rino Narciso, Marco Garattini and Alessandro Salvo Cugliari. It is a historic festival, established in the early 1900s, which, like every year, includes a varied and extensive program of events, religious celebrations and cultural initiatives. Concerts, sporting tournaments, children's workshops and religious ceremonies will alternate throughout the weekend and will involve the entire Salesian community of the neighborhood. It will all conclude Sunday evening with the famous procession through the district.
