I finally got a chance to get down to business and start painting the Warhammer minis that I've been collecting over the past 2 months or so. I'm so happy that my first ever mini is painted!

I tried the SlapChop technique and wow, it was more challenging that I was expecting. Drybrushing effectively is harder than it looks, and AP Speedpaints dry FAST... and once they're dry on the pallette, they're done.

I'm super happy with how my first Salamander Space Marine turned out, even if it's no where near perfect. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun painting it.

Practicing freehand. I decided to follow the same heraldry style as the “canonical Bladeguard ancient”: top left a solid block (red); checks in the top right; a small chapter symbol in the bottom left.
