I recently traveled to Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada and really enjoyed the beautiful Victorian High Style architecture of Old Saint John. After the Great Fire of 1877 destroyed the neighborhood, it was rebuilt by the wealthy residents, reflecting the period architecture and its outstanding workmanship. I was particularly enchanted by the formality and prominence of the stoops and front doors of the many row homes that line the neighborhood's blocks.
