I can't quite describe how I feel now I've seen the stolen items. Loss, shock, anger, sadness, disbelieve in the stupidity of people, and more. These are precious symbols of #Welsh #history and #culture. We have struggled with erasure for centuries and this feels like another blatant disregard for our identity. Sain Ffagan is an open-air museum that saves and re-erects historic buildings from all over #Wales - in this #s4c episode (turn on the English subtitles) you can see not only the quarryman's cottage and the Vulcan Hotel being put back together stone by stone, but a love note to the sweet shop, one of the few places in Wales you can buy, ahem, Jazz Balls.
