Dave NanianSahib Shihab - Sahib's Jazz Party & After Hours
This RSD BF 2024 release seems to combine Shihab's Conversations (recorded live in 1963 at Montmartre Jazzhuis in Copenhagen) and an additional "After Hours" EP from the same location.
He's joined by Ole Molin (guitar), Niels Henning Orsted Pederson (bass), Allan Botchinsky (flugelhorn), and Alex Riel (drums).
Overall a nice release.

Didn't bring much back from Japan, but I visited Hal’s Jazz (http://www.hals-jazz.com) and picked up this LP I'd never seen before. It's a 1957 album recorded for Savoy, although this is a Japanese reissue from…1991?
Anyway, we’ve got Shihab on Baritone Sax, Phil Woods on Alto, Oscar Pettiford and Paul Chambers on bass, Art Taylor on drums, and Bill Evans and Hank Jones on piano..
Good find - very enjoyable bop with some swing.
