In reality, it becomes more mosquito breeding habitat if not maintained or used properly. What actually works: • Dump and drain standing water weekly (flowerpots, tarps, tires, buckets, etc.) • Avoid dusk and dawn, when mosquitoes are most active • Wear an EPA-approved repellent • Cover up with long sleeves and pants when possible • Submit a service request if you notice standing water or mosquito activity Mosquito dunks and granules can be effective but only when used properly in places where standing water is necessary (like fountains, troughs, or rain barrels). To emphasize: Dump or drain unnecessary water AND don’t create more places for mosquitoes to breed.
