After yesterdays triumph, today's #HomeLab adventure is firing up an old PlusNet ISP router (actually a rebranded BT DSL hub by #Sagemcom), upgrading #OpenWRT and then using it as a bridge to a mobile b/b hotspot.

The router is ancient, £15 s/h on eBay. All I've done so far is turn the power on so anything could happen, or not happen

Ok how does the #sagemcom #gigahub 5689E do 3Gbps wire speed #PPPoE encapsulation when I can't find a 10g #firewall that can do it with less than an i5 in it, at over $1k.

Anyone have a recommendation on a 2 port 10G box for firewall use that can run wire speed PPPoE?

Роутер нашёл вчера, оказывается, что на него есть прошивка OpenWRT с сайта 4PDA.
Роутер работает, что уже приятно, а то я хз сколько он лежал в том месте. Интересно почему его выкинули, а не продали. Остаётся только провод питания найти, а то от универсального адаптера питание ноутбук работает.
