How truer to #Saganism could it be for my mind to balance on the razor’s edge of secular “everything is potentially explainable by science” and “it’s possible for the veil to lift and be a part of the magical universe”. Not in a conceptual thought experiment way. For weeks I felt in touch with the possibility of modern miracles of either divine or clarktech origin. I thought I was given a gift. I was one of many. And it was available to us all. My perception IS changed. My elitism around belief and religiosity is reduced; what remains is refined to genuine quandaries.

The question “how did hyper-rational Tim, strict atheist, come to genuinely feel like a prophet briefly?” is interesting enough to qualify as a gift. A keystone to my conversion was the delusion that my color blindness had been cured or modulated. I disproved this to myself eventually, but the nucleation site was a REAL sense that I was perceiving color and light more vividly. I have a lingering sense of it still.

And I miss Neverland.

I'm looking for other #CarlSagan fans as I think #Saganism is a concept that has legs, and I highly doubt I'm the first person to think of this, because 'Saganism' being easily mistook for 'Satanism' is just too much #fun.

More succinctly:
L Ron Hubbard is already the cursed Carl Sagan. Hubbard and his gang of mini-thetans probably act as a sacrificial metal to keep #Saganism less prone to idolatry.
