Bought 2 pkgs of point cut corned beef (about 3.75# @) for just $1.99/# on St. Patty's Day

I only buy things that spot on sale at #Safeway, #Raleys & #Luckys. Mentioned to you recently, that U bought 4 doz eggs on sale at Raley's for just $10.

Seldom shop at #GroceryOutlet because their product selection is so limited & changes so often but I do buy things there occasionally

The best deal I saw there last was boxed mac & cheese for just $1/box. Bought 5 of them.

@ryanboswell I don't have it but why does using #ApplyPay cause problems & does this only happen with Chase cards?

FWIW, as you note, I use my physical #Chase #Amazon credit card at #Safeway w/o any problems.

So apparently using a Chase issued credit card via Apple Pay can randomly crash Safeway’s POS. The physical card (tap or insert) is fine.

The store manager helped me out after I bricked two of their checkout lanes and immediately knew and asked “oh is that a Chase card?”.

It’s not 100% of the time, but when it decided to not work, apparently it is persistent.

So, save yourself the hassle at Safeway and if your go to is a Chase issued card, use the physical one or an alternate issuer via Apple Pay.

Noticed Safeway raised the price on some items this week, and then listed them as on sale-- for what WAS the normal price last week, and then listed the new normal price as now higher.

That's NOT a sale. It's a precursor to raising prices 😐

Such a deceptive practice. How can something be on sale if it NEVER sold at the higher price?

Today in stupid US corporate grocery prices, how much is a quart of milk at Safeway? More than half-a-gallon of milk, IF you give up your privacy and remember to scan the coupon that they should just give to you automatically for doing that last thing.
