Listening to the #NYT #HardFork dudes interview the #safestreetrebel #transit activists putting cones on autonomous vehicles.

I like this podcast, but as "technologists", the hosts are pretty myopic for about the problem of car centrism:

"AVs are safer than humans, so this is a net positive"

Guys! It's about sustainable systems away from car dependency!!

"Public transit is inferior product with cost overruns"

Implying that car dependent infrastructure isn't while treating it as always free and always given

"Well internationally it's easier to take a taxi than to use transit"

You either don't travel internationally or you don't bother to use world class transit when it is sitting right in front you.
