☕️Having peeked inside US public administration, I feel qualified to call it a total mess. Running a state /is/ difficult when the only person reliably in charge of anything is the lovely lady at the local library.
So much of the #SafeACT seems like a total no-brainer from a Europa perspective.
Yet, one way or another, one has to admit it was obviously good enough to run that republic for 250 years—so there must (!) be room for a ten-year grace period, to give people time to get papers in order.

But millions of people — particularly the 69 million women who changed their names when they got married — don’t have matching names on their birth certificates and passports and risk being disenfranchised under the SAVE Act and related legislation.”
