So many things to love about this production, but the main thing for me was acknowledging Powell & Pressburger first in the ‘creative team’ part of the program and then how Bourne & co knew what they wanted to adapt from the film and what they knew they couldn’t recreate, and therefore what they didn’t try. Victoria/Moira spinning and seeing different faces? Not in this. Other terrifically potent dancing is. I was wiping the corners of my eyes throughout. Amazing. #redshoes #sadlerswells

Patrick HadfieldI went to see Quadrophenia - A Mod Ballet tonight. I thought it was brilliant.
Excellent music - not the Who, of course, and no words, but a rearrangement Pete Townsend's tunes (which I've been listening to for over fifty years). Excellent set design and wonderful choreography.
The whole thing worked. It got a standing ovation, including from me!
It's touring. If you like the Who and ballet, go and see it!
