Tooted (that term just doesn't sound right?) ..about #Arsenal's shock FA Cup defeat against Walsall in Jan 1933.
A week after OTD Thomas 'Tommy' Black was transerred to Plymouth Argyle in aftermath of the defeat.
Black had joined in July 1931 from Strathclyde & hadn't feature in first team until the loss to #Saddlers
#Gunners, already 1-0 down with a goal from Gilbert Alsop few minutes earlier when Black, a full-back debutising Eddie Hapgood on the day gave away a penalty in ~67mins.

There were changes in Herbert Chapman's line-up. Without Eddie Hapgood, Bob John, Joe Hulme, Tim Coleman & Jack Lambert saw #Arsenal lose 0-2.
We still had the likes of Frank Moss, George Male, Frank Hill, Herbie Roberts, David Jack, Alex James & Cliff Bastin so big shock the defeat was.
50yr later in Nov 1983 3rd Div Walsall shocked us again, now in League Cup 4th round at Highbury as The #Saddlers won 2-1 leading to a dismissal of manager Terry Neill.
