Tonight's editing on the novel Saberbeak features the infamous Duckbill Murder Hen, a mallard+beaver (or is that platypus?) serial killer locked away in the depths of the Argent Heights.
Or, as Reeve Silver calls her, "Molly, please don't alarm our new gryphon guests."
It's taken eleven books if we count Blue Eyes and Coldbright, but I've finally written a lesbian gryphon who has a neat and tidy nest.
(Shout out to fans for pointing out that Satra, Mignet, Flicker, AND Whisper are all completely incapable of making their beds to make me paranoid about accidentally creating a lesbian gryphon stereotype.)
